Privacy Policy

Voxlate is a subtitle generation service available at voxlate.app. We are responsible for processing the personal data described in this policy.

Account data

• Name and email address.
• Encrypted password (bcrypt), if you signed up with email and password. We never store it in plain text.
• Google authentication token, if you sign in with Google OAuth.

Files and content

• Audio or video files you upload to generate subtitles. Files are processed and then deleted from the processing server; the generated subtitles are kept in your account until you delete them.

Payment data

• We do not store card data or banking information. Payments are processed by PayPal or Wompi. We only keep the transaction identifier and the amount for accounting records.

Technical data

• IP address and session data.
• Activity log: uploaded files, active plan, minutes used.
• Session cookies required to keep you signed in.

• Providing the service: processing your files and delivering your subtitles.
• Account management: authenticating you, managing your plan and sending you verification or recovery emails.
• Billing: processing charges and keeping accounting records.
• Security: detecting abusive use and protecting the platform.
• Transactional communications: payment confirmations and usage notifications. We do not send marketing without explicit consent.

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising purposes.

Some providers (Groq, Google, PayPal, Resend) operate in the United States. By using the service, you agree that your data may be transferred and processed there, under the applicable contractual safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses for European users; Law 1581/2012 for Colombian users).

• Active account: we keep your data while the account is active.
• Uploaded files: they are deleted from the processing server when the job finishes.
• Generated subtitles: they are kept until you delete them or close your account.
• Billing records: they are kept for 5 years due to accounting obligations.
• Account closure: we delete all your data except what is required by law.

Depending on your country of residence, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and personal data.
• Object to processing or request its restriction.
• Portability: receive your data in a structured format (EU users).
• No sale: we do not sell your data (California users, CCPA).

To exercise these rights, write to us at legal@voxlate.app. We reply within 15 business days at most.

Data is transmitted encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored with bcrypt. Files are processed in an isolated environment and are not publicly accessible.

In the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you within the timeframes required by applicable law.

We only use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session signed in. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party behavioral analytics cookies.

If the changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 15 days in advance. The update date in the header indicates the current version.
